Beyond Classroom

At GBN, the persistent focus is on evolving and adding new and exciting training opportunities that are beyond the academic curriculum and classrooms. The crucial agenda for the school is to provide various platforms to the learner that ensures their holistic development and nurtures their innate curiosity and intrinsic uniqueness. In consonance with this objective, as part of the regular routine through the academic year, the children are involved and exposed to a well-defined and comprehensive Co-curricular Programme that develops leadership skills, self-reliance, self-confidence, self-discipline and a strong value system.

GBN strongly believes that a leader instils confidence and followership by having a clear vision and semblance, showing empathy and being a strong pedagogue. With the ardour and fortitude of appointing new leaders and responsibility of school’s senate, the Investiture Ceremony aims at officially vesting the school’s student council with their powers and positions. This also requires entwining them with delegated responsibilities for an everlasting impact on their expeditious lives. The constituted body reverentially bridges the coalesce between students and the assiduous authorities soliciting any concern which affects the students at large.

Physical fitness, achieved through team sports and fitness classes are a part of the total educational experience at GBN. We provide a strong sport and activities curriculum, effectively delivered on a beautiful campus with well-equipped and modern facilities. The Physical Education Department consists of a team of dedicated teachers who are responsible for the implementation of the day-to-day sports programme.

Through participation in various physical activities and sports, the students improve their physical skills and fitness and become aware of the important role that motivation, enthusiasm, initiative, self-discipline, self-respect, cooperation and the assumption of responsibility play in the maintenance of a healthy society.

In collaboration with KHUSHI-ek Ehsaas Foundation, GBNites commitment and sense of responsibility have found new parallels. Their thoughtful, pro bono endeavours have given a new significance to ‘caring’ and ‘sharing’. While the School leaves no stone unturned when it comes to contributing to any cause or taking up any social responsibility, the GBNites always find themselves on the forefront of lending a hand or standing up to help build the society and the nation. No wonder their initiatives and contributions have effectively spun statusquo into a full-blown revolution!
